First Time Home Buyer Rebate Program

Are you, or is someone you know, thinking of buying their first house? As part of the Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008, a tax credit is now available for those buying their first home. This tax credit also applies to anyone who has not owned their principle residence for a 3-year period before their home purchase. The tax crdeit is equal to 10% of the purchase price of the house up to $7,500. The credit phases out for buyers whose income is above $75,000.
